Krista is an Arizona native, seeking re-election for the SRP District Board as an at-large seat 12 candidate. Krista is an accomplished sustainability, business, and policy practitioner with 14+ years of experience. During the day, Krista enjoys her job as a Senior Project Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Networks at Arizona State University (ASU) Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory.
Krista’s priorities are the following:
- Arizona’s Energy Future- Clean, Affordable Energy and making the grid resilient to rising temperatures
- Sufficient water storage for constituents
- Support ratepayer energy efficiency programs
- Prioritize investments in leading technologies such as solar, wind and energy storage
- Transparency and public disclosure
Krista is a strong advocate for transparency and public disclosure from SRP Management to constituents. She frequently requests management to publish to constituents additional supporting information when the stakes are high financially or environmentally. Krista believes that SRP, as a not-for-profit, should serve the community with full transparency and prioritize ratepayer feedback. Krista H. O’Brien voted no for the Price Increases from SRP that are effective on November 1, 2025.
