Anna Rose Mohr-Almeida is a clean air advocate enrolled in the Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University. Anna founded Kids Climate Action Network! (Kids CAN!), a 501c3, a youth leadership community that works to improve air quality, biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and the creation of purposeful art.

Anna was the Youth Keynote at Arizona State University’s Local to Global Teach-In and presented the negative environmental impact of the factory farming model of food production. She participated on the L2G Youth Keynote Panel and discussed community organizing. Anna has been honored by the Grand Canyon Chapter of Sierra Club as Outstanding Youth and participated in the Rainforest Action Network’s Palm Oil Action Leadership Summit and was a member of RAN’s Palm Oil Action Team. This national team of palm oil activists work to protect the orangutan, the rainforests in Sumatra and Borneo, and address human rights abuses related to the production of palm oil.

Anna also lobbies locally and in D.C. with Moms Clean Air Force for improved air quality. Anna was a member of the Arizona Youth Climate Coalition responsible for climate strikes of 2019-2020. She worked with GenOn, a bipartisan organization dedicated to voter registration and increasing awareness of the impacts of climate change. Anna sees her candidacy for the SRP Board as her best opportunity to make a substantive impact on the reduction of green house gas emissions in Arizona.
