Kathy Mohr-Almeida, Ph.D., is an incumbent running for the SRP Board of Directors to ensure that this vital institution serves the ratepayer with integrity, innovation and responsibility. She brings strong ethics, common sense, and a people-first approach to the SRP Board of Directors. Kathy has a deep respect for Arizona’s history and a clear vision for its future to the Salt River Project’s Board of Directors. She has both broad knowledge and practical experience of the issues facing SRP ratepayers. Kathy is a community advocate dedicated to protecting Arizona’s water, supporting clean air and affordable energy, and ensuring that SRP serves the people with transparency and accountability.
As an educator and community leader, Kathy has spent her career helping others understand complex challenges and working collaboratively to find solutions. She believes that Salt River Project, as a cornerstone of Arizona’s growth and sustainability, must balance responsible resource management with affordability and transparency for ratepayers. Kathy voted against the demand charge increase for solar customers and the rate increase in February 2025.
Dr. Mohr-Almeida’s priorities include:
